Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Here in Indiana, we’ve already experience winter-like weather. And once the weather gets colder, Steve and I always find ourselves organizing the garage for the winter. Remember the Sports Equipment organizer I posted earlier this year? (Click HERE or on the photo below to see more!)
We found that we needed more storage (isn’t that always the case?!), so we added another shelf along the top. We did the shelf the exact same way as we did in the earlier post – we used brackets with hooks (allows for even more storage!) and faux “rustic boards.” (If you want to see more about this technique, click HERE or on the picture below.)
We (and by “we” I mean Steve) added a long shelf along the top of the wall above the sports equipment organizer which allows for even more
I love the hooks on the brackets because you can hang things on them – like our boys’ bikes. Where they’ll stay until spring. (Which makes me so depressed because I am NOT a cold weather person.)
One last (but really great) thing…are you guys familiar with Hometalk? Hometalk is everything home and garden in one place. You can share your own projects, search for ideas and even ask questions with the Hometalk community. I’d love for you to follow me on Hometalk!
I put an “Organizing Ideas for Bulky Items” board together and you can see it (as well as follow me) by clicking on the picture below:
Now you can spend your Thanksgiving vacation organizing all those bulky items you never knew what to do with.
You’re welcome. 😉
sincerely, sara d.
