I am often asked about our house colors, and I matched our colors to create a Dutch Boy Exterior Home Paint Palette.

Exterior Home Paint Palette
- Painted Brick: Our brick paint color is very similar to Dutch Boy 016W – Worn Pages.
- Trim: Our trim color matches Dutch Boy 440-2DB Rhino-ed Gray.
- Front Door: Painted in Dutch Boy 427-6DB Cattails

I painted all the other exterior doors in a color that is very similar to the trim on our home – Dutch Boy Rhino-ed Gray.
This is the side front door of our home and the Rhino-ed Gray is the perfect complement to our painted brick.
I painted our side garage door in the same color.
And also painted our patio doors in the back of our home.
I used Dutch Boy Platinum Plus Cabinet, Door & Trim Paint which is a water-based alkly enamel that goes on silky smooth.
I love the look of the semi-gloss, but I opted for satin since the rest of my home exterior is similar.
I love this paint because it is thick and coats well. It works well for exteriors as well as interiors, and I also used it to paint our home library bookshelves.
When looking for exterior door colors, I knew I wanted a warm gray to compliment our off-white painted brick.
I narrowed it down to two paint colors.
Best Warm Grays:
- Dutch Boy 439-2DB Scalloped Gray
- Dutch Boy 440-2DB Rhino-Ed Gray
They are both beautiful warm gray paint colors, but I obviously ultimately decided on Rhino-Ed Gray because it best matched my home’s trim color.
