Hello! I’m Sara Davis of Sincerely, Sara D. From a young age, I knew I was created to create. I worked as an Art Director at a greeting card company and later as a stay-at-home mom. Needing a creative outlet and a little sanity from three young kids, I painted. The walls in my home became canvas and home décor my passion. In 2014, I began documenting my creative efforts at SincerelySaraD.com.
I live in Indiana with my husband and our three children. When not blogging or driving our kids around, I teach classes, consult with home décor clients and encourage others to create.

Where do you get your design inspiration?
I love to tour old homes and watch period pieces - I'm such a nerd. I love to learn from the past designers and modernize it.
How did you get the confidence to DIY?
I grew up watching my dad fix everything, so I just assumed that almost everything can be a DIY. I've made a lot of mistakes along the way, but I began with simple projects and slowly gained the confidence to where I am today. Like everything in life, practice is key!
Why do you live in Indiana?
I live in Indiana because the people are awesome, the cost of living is inexpensive, the summers are amazing (as well as our sunrises and sunsets), and most importantly, my family is all here!
What is your design style?
The best way for me to describe my design style is sophisticated traditional. I love creating a space that looks like it's high-end (but it's really not)!
How long have you been blogging?
I've been blogging for 8 years, but I only claim 7 since that first year I had one reader - my mom.
Can you really make money blogging?
You really can make money blogging, and the majority of my income comes from sponsored posts and ads on my site. These sponsorships are how I can keep bringing you free content. I know sometimes sponsored content is annoying, but please realize it's necessary to keep my website up and running, AND I only partner with brands I love.
