Kitchen Remodel | Week 6, 7 & 8
I am so behind on updates, but today I am sharing the latest of our Kitchen Remodel – Week 6, 7, and 8!

Steve and I had scheduled a vacation to Mexico with some friends WAY before we knew the kitchen remodel was going to happen (and I shared a gorgeous colorful surf town we visited HERE). Although the timing seemed crazy, it really was the best thing for us. We have spent all our free time working on this remodel, and doing that can be a little crazy for a marriage. Taking a break was SO good! We are refreshed and ready to tackle this kitchen – especially now that the finish line is in sight! This week was a big week because our countertops from The Home Depot were installed!
Installation was easy and quick (under two hours) and the installers were great.
We went with a quartz that looks like marble called Pearl Jasmine from Silestone.
I was more than happy to sit back and watch rather than DIY this project.
I cannot express to you how excited we are to have countertops, and they are absolutely gorgeous! We went with the suede finish to try and mimic the marble look as much as possible.

Where is the info about the appliances? I cannot find it and I’m interested in the stove and refrigerator, specifically. (Is the stove a Samsung, double oven? That is one that I’m considering.) Also, how do you like the microwave below the counter? I have a kitchen remodel in my future. Thanks!

I am looking to buy Pearl Jasmine quartz countertops too. How do you like them? Do you have any seam on them? I am a little nervous that the seam can ruin the design, my countertops are U shaped. You said you chose suede finish? What is the difference between the Suede and Polished finish? Can you send me some pictures with the countertops, please? So I can see the model/veins better. In the posted pictures it can not be seen the real model of the stone.

Hi Silvia, I love our countertops. The suede finish is a very matte finish opposed to the traditional glossy look with the polished finish. Email me: [email protected] and I can send you some pics. My only complain is our one seam, so it is something to be aware of!

We’ve had no issues with the suede finish!
